Role Overview
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and ambitious recently qualified surveyor, preferably with some retail experience, to join our specialist Retail Warehouse Agency team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a surveyor at the beginning of their career to develop specialist expertise in the retail warehouse sector.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members on a variety of retail warehouse instructions, gaining valuable experience in landlord and tenant representation. You will be involved in all aspects of the agency process, from initial property inspections and marketing to viewings, measurement and lease negotiations.
This is an ideal position for a surveyor who has completed their APC with a keen interest in developing a career in retail property. We will provide structured support for your continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the acquisition of retail warehouse properties for occupiers and the leasing of units on behalf of landlords and investors.
- Support Partners in negotiations for new lettings, lease re-gears.
- Undertake property inspections, measurement and conduct viewings with prospective tenants.
- Create and implement effective marketing strategies for retail warehouse properties and schemes.
- Research, track and analyse retail warehouse market trends, transactions, and occupier requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key retail warehouse occupiers and landlords.
- Prepare reports and presentations for clients on market conditions and asset specific strategies.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build contacts within the retail warehouse sector.
Required Qualifications
- RICS accredited degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Surveying or related field.
- Recently completed RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
- Full UK driving licence.
Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with property-specific software, databases and valuation software (desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of retail property market dynamics and trends.
